A-KON 24 T-shirt Contest Entry

Ehhyy I don't think there are any rules against posting entries to the t-shirt contest, so might as well share mine.

The theme was “Gateway to New Beginnings” and needed to include a torii gate. I think the torii gate is a very strong symbol so i wanted it to be a huge part of my design. My favorite and possibly the most famous torii gate is the one standing in water, the idea of the reflection of the gate is what led me to my main design.

I added the japanese phoenix (or hou ou) as a second symbol of rebirth, as AKON is not a new con, it's simply starting a new life at their new location. Combined it's like.. DOUBLE NEW BEGINNINGS!

Or it just might confuse the judges HAHAHA >_>
