They specifically asked about advice on how to choose a good bust size for characters. I don't believe there is such thing as a "Good bust size" since they come in every size on every shape. Choose what you think looks good. there are lots of women of any shape and every size so as long as you can draw them well they will be great ^_^

Really great explanation! I guess that I can sometimes get overly self-critical, but I noticed that at least I'm starting to get the female form right - the redline is not too off from my original work, still, I need to practice, practice, and once more, practice...Anyhow, I'll take the tips mentioned here for a future reference - and a big thanks again!
