"Those like you... ...They are eternally bound to this curse..."

Hmm.. LoZ has always been a big part of my life, my first one was Link's Awakening and since then i've been getting every game that comes out @_@. I haven't drawn fanart for the main characters in a long time though.. a very long time, at least 5.. 6 years? I wanted to draw something that encapsulates what we learned from Skyward Sword about the nature of the legend. And I didn't feel like drawing link, there wouldn't be too much visually different from the SS link and his other adult versions anyway. The most striking to me was Zelda, her simple, relatively carefree self contrasted with the princess (queen really) under seige in TP was very remarkable.

She will be doomed to fight that hatred over and over, but she will also be blessed with the triforce of wisdom to help save the world.

Side note: Wow TP Zelda.. WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL LOL. Bonus points if you get the background pattern :D

12x18 and 8x12 print at Fanime & Otakon :O!!!

Two sides to one person. Excellent, I love how they are detailed and reaching out. One past one future Awesome. Great job. All the colors match and vibrant. I loved the touch light and shade between the two princesses depending what side they are in. The back round totally matches and reacts to the light shown in the triangle. From a person, who gets pissed off at depth perception, it's not like flat but 2.5 in a way. The designs of both characters really matches the game. Both of them. Even the braids match nice touch. Awesome job. Keep at it

To create new, visionary, and original art is not a simple feat, especially in an area where many are competing. The Legend of Zelda spans infinitely diverse worlds where Nintendo dishes out something new, every time. How to blend those two into something radically new and intriguing is a mountain of work. This artist has managed to combine the different 'Zelda's to make an interesting work that spans from one end of a saga to another.

Vision: The artist manages to combine a low, dark, but resilient Princess Zelda and manage to blend it with the high-flying adventurous Her Grace. This also alludes to the ending of Skyward Sword, where the fallen Demon King etches out the framework of his curse to befall the fated Hero and Goddess. The Triforce of Wisdom also connects the two different 'Zelda's as a thread of fate that spans over time.

Originality: To think of a spiritually elating Skyward Sword and try to mix it with shadowy Twilight Princess is attempting to fuse Democrats and Republicans. I have never seen someone base their artwork off the destiny Demise had bestowed, and caused the events of the later games to happen, but they have done it with such elegant quality it simply blows me away.

Technique: Trust me, I can't draw to save my life, but four stars isn't upfront saying it's horrid. It's great, but has more potential inside. The background is simple, yet it can use a bit more sprucing up, a more mysterious or haunting background furthermore reflecting on the fate that lies in their destinies. Moving to lighting effects, how the light interacts with their dresses excellently well done. However I think the Triforce of Wisdom looks like a cut out window into the background. However one thing I think is undeniable is the accuracy and shapes of their bodies, though I believe that it is well within the artist's abilities to touch up on Twilight Princess's Zelda's face so it shows more distress, and not a blank expression. Overall I believe that the artist did well, though there is a somewhat unfitting gap between their limit.

Impact: Skyward Sword gave us a validating explanation for why the games were always a princess-hero setup, but no artist managed to symbolize it in a artwork, but this artist has, and done very, very well. This impacts through by closing the seemingly wide gorge between most Zelda games, and inspiring others to

Closing thoughts: I personally believe that this artist did what they thought was within their ability, and did it extremely well. The Legend of Zelda Fanbase is home to some of the most creative, skilled, and loyal deviants I have seen, and this work is simply will place it in the scores of others. I hope that this has given you some constructive feedback to work upon, and apply it to any future projects you may tackle.

Final Score: 87/100

Awesome. I read your description too. Links awakening was awesome. I couldn't pass the face shrine though.

I like the part that Twilight Princess Zelda always look emotionless or calm in the outside! X3
