Commissioned reference sheet of someone's character ~ I of course only do the art and layout, text is from commissioner. Really interesting world they have going on if you read it!
This one was really fun, and so complicated xOx. I don't think mecha/tech designs are my strong suit but I'm glad i was able to do this still. You can't get better without practice. I really love the kitsune design, cause i got to incorporate a lot of traditional elements with machinery and i just thought it was mega spiffo.
oh man, your right, the concept in the writing is quite interesting, and you did a superb job in the designing and converying of the various forms and mechanical parts.
descriptions and things like this tend to have pretty interesting info, don't understand why so many have problems reading descriptions on this site, though I understand some descriptions can get pretty long. and no problem, you did it super good
I wouldnt call that a "not so strong suit". They are perfectly believable, clear and nice to look at. It's easy to understand and thats good! Being good at Mecha/tech doesnt mean necessarily you have to draw out every single mechanism there is in one's subject. You see the designs which implies possibilities :3 good job :E
Wow thanks @_@, i'm just really insecure in my tech designs versus organic so it means a lot to me that you think they look believable and good! I would like to be able to draw them and believe them myself too, i look at a lot of sci fi robot/android art and it just doesn't click yet hahaha.
Seeing your work critical is an important aspect of our live, but if we are too critical with them some of us wouldnt be able to even finish any art let alone share them with other ppl, because we would find every small thing in our work that we can improve or change. I had that phase sometime ago and i coudn't finish works because it was too demotivating. :E luckily even those unfinished works are sometimes interesting enough to look at.
