Provided it isn't bubbling and it IS sour I'll cook with it (you intentionally sour milk for a lot of baked goodies :9). If it's bubbling, it's got something toxic that even cooking won't kill and I get rid of it.

Of course, being lactose intolerant, I shouldn't have it at all...but...y'know, stomach pain aside, sometimes you just want a REAL glass of milk...not that Lactaid crap that tastes funky.

Totally had to lol on the 'what I'm not supposed to eat the lumps' answer!!! I totally do the sniff test. I don't drink it alone, only use it in recipes and with cereal. One time, I was going totally off the dates and it had gone bad BEFORE the date and I poured it on my cereal and took a spoonful and BLECH! You only need to have bad milk once in your entire life to make you sniff test every jug after that til you die.
